Weekend Roundup

huggeroftreesA very relaxing "do-nothing" time was had.
On Friday evening I finagled Pizza by slipping off to drink a beer and then sit in a park with Didactylos (thus getting home too late for tea and having to make my own.... ooops). Whilst wandering round said park we got to rescue a little boy's football from the river. This was a good thing and our karma bonus was only slightly depleted by the fact it fell into the river cos we hadn't stopped it earlier as it dribbled past us.
Then Saturday I dragged my eyes open at 8am to sit in bed and talk to Australia for an hour and a half. Work work work... :D
Having eventually got up the Maternal unit and I went pretty shop shopping to get a ruby wedding present for some friends (and I found a neat top in a charity shop - currently wearing it and yes I am pleased with my purchase). Drove back in time to do some recipe searching online as it had been decided that Didactylos should grace us with his presence on Sat night and this meant I could do COOKING!
I made roux. Me! Little me! MADE Roux! And it was AWESOME. Chicken with mushroom and marjoram creamy thing with minted potatoes and rocket with dressing. Tasty foods.
Then we played the CSI game Mr Anonymous got me for my birthday. It is rather complicated but we did manage to finish a story (despite the paternal unit being out and about watering the garden for most of the 3rd round). I'm glad we didn't try to play it whilst drunk at the BBQ - that would have been IMPOSSIBLE.
Sunday was mainly sitting around and chatting online and chilling and sleeping and pottering in the garden and ironing EVERYTHING for the entire week. Productivity yay.

Tonight I went swimming. Legs hate me but I have exercise pride. :D
