A weekend of relaxation (and gardening)
Jun. 14th, 2010 06:06 pmSaturday there was sun-worshipping along the Rochdale Canal. Very hippified. Even a Teepee. We found where the Pennine Way crosses the Canal (and a sewage works - glad the family tradition continues). Hurray for us!
Sunday was gardening. The runner beans are in (yes I know, it's rather late, but we've had a fence to build and you can't plant veg when the veg patch is under sacks of cement). Generations of engineering skills were accessed in order to build the stakey-framey-thing. Oh and I discovered my honeysuckle has flower buds. I was a little worried that I'd shocked it into not flowering by cutting it right back earlier. But no, it is apparently well hard. Yay!
And then back to work. Busy busy. Still interesting though. Site managers getting nicer (and more flirty over the phone) by the day. lol. Bless.
